Lovely Weekend and Turning 5. :-)

Last weekend we had weather in the high 40s/low 50s. Fabulous!! It afforded Scott the opportunity to bring out the tractor mower that came with the house. The kids had fun riding it with him. :-) We also got to enjoy a family walk, and have Scotty's sister, bro-in-law and kiddos over to celebrate Joy's birthday.

Bundling up for...

...the first family walk in our new neighborhood!

Gotta get some sticks ;-)

Walked to McDonald's for a snack (silly, fake smiles)...

There's a real smile for ya.

Look at that beautiful day!

Noah's turn on the mower.

Tinkering around with an edger that came with the house too!

Family over to celebrate!

Here are some more pics of the bday girl last week. :-)

So excited for a birthday card in the mail.

Thanks, grandpa and grandma Ruth!

Present from big brother in one hand, ice cream cone in another :-)

Making jewelry - thanks for the gift, Brad and DeeDee!

And here's just a cute video of Amber I wanted to share ;-)

Vinegar Volcano

This week in science the kids are learning about volcanoes.  As they learn, I am definitely learning right along with them. :-)  I saw a video of how to make your own volcano, and the kids just had a blast!

Gather all our materials and get going!

1. Pour vinegar into a bottle.

2. Add some red dye and dish soap.

3. Put baking soda into another bottle.

4. Put a cardboard cone ("volcano") around second bottle,
then pour in the vinegar mix and watch the lava flow!
