Punctual Preschooler and Talking Toddler

Doing clocks in his math book - how fitting :-)
So my firstborn is getting too smart, and he's got an insanely good memory...  We've enjoyed attending storytime at the library again, as Joy is down to one nap a day now.  However, we're not always on time, and Micah's picking up on that fact.  Last week we missed the opening bubble machine and some of the read aloud book time.  As we were about to head out to storytime yesterday, he asked if we were going to miss the bubbles and half of the book.  I said we'd be on time if we left right then.  Halfway there he asked again, "are we still going to be on time for the bubbles and half of the book?"  I said yes.  As we parked at the library he asked if we were "still going to be on time when we get into the library?"  I said if we walk fast!  And sure enough...we booked it and made it to the storytime room with no time to spare - just behind the librarian walking in with the bubble blower.  Whew!

First piggy-tails - see them baby blues better!
It is so fun to see Joy growing in her vocabulary skills (and animal sound imitations). :-)  However, some things she has learned wrong, and she is too stubborn to change!  Right now everything that entails water is "cup."  For example, while washing her hands, I accidentally drip water on her chubby little legs and she declares, "cup!"  When she sees the pool outside or the sprinklers on, she notes, "cup!"  Whether it be water in a fish bowl, bathtub or faucet, she will look at you with those big blue eyes and insists that it's "cup!"
