"The Bekah Day"

This was a birthday note from a friend, had to pass it along, because it's too dang creative to keep to myself. Thanks Luke Man. :-)

"Grand Rapids, MI-- There have been reports of rejoicing from across the nation today with the celebration of The Bekah Day. Historians say the day began near Los Angeles on April 8, 1984, when a girl was born that was said to be "the best". Apparently, at some point the girl's given name, Rebekah, was shortened to encourage maximum "the bestness". Historians have accumulated many myths as to just how "The" was added to Bekah, but it's safe to say, it was inevitable. A popular story suggests that a twitterpated college student with two first names may have coined the phrase in an attempt to woo the woman while she studied in Chicago.

Popular activities on The Bekah Day often include eating at restaurants, gift giving, and talking in sometimes odd, childlike voices.

A very merry The Bekah Day to all."
