Every now and then since Micah was about 6 months old I've taken his little hands, clapped them together and then guided them in a rolling and patting motion as we "make a cake" with Pat-a-Cake. The other day I started singing the familiar nursery rhyme, and to my surprise, Micah started clapping his hands all on his own! It was so precious, and it made this mom's heart proud (would you believe it, he actually did it again later for dad and the camera too). :-)
